『Adrift: Tales of sundry origins』

In the second half of the twentieth century, the world was in turmoil, especially in Asia. You may know the history of Thailand’s military coup, Indonesia’s Chinese exclusion, Malaysia’s transition from World War II to its founding, and Hong Kong’s immigration wave. But have you ever listened to the native speaker’s thoughts? In a relatively peaceful generation, we need to understand more about how people under troubled times leave their hometown to create new homes.

The world is interconnected, in particular Asian countries are closely bonded. It is even more important for us to analyze the world from exploring individuals, as well as understand history to know the present.
